At night.

I had fun with my new camera the other night. 

The water front area looks really cool at night with the construction and the lights. The bridge is nice, but I wish it much much bigger and longer. 

Now, I really want to see the movie, Metropolis (1927) again......

Just aged.

I had a lovely evening with my friends last night. I was too busy chatting and eating to take pictures at the party, so I decided to photograph the presents they gave me today.

Lost and Found

I like very old photographs like these. This website collects found photographs. They were lost somewhere somehow, and were found by someone somewhere somehow repeatedly to get here. I enjoy looking at all the details in the photographs, and I think it'd be fascinating to know how they've traveled all the way to present.

This is a really good looking movie. I enjoy watching the scenery, the cars, the news papers, and of course all the clothes in it.

fats waller - your feet's too big

I watch this video every now and again. I love the play on proportion with the clothes. Fats Waller's sweater vests were so tiny and his pants so high in the rise! So cute!

This brush holder comes complete with a set of paintbrushes. Made in Germany. A handy device which combines a brush holder and a water container, a tidy way of keeping brushes to hand.

SAILORS’ WHISK BRUSH
Recently featured in London’s Design Museum, this handbrush was traditionally made by sailors and is now made by hand by a rope enthusiast in Suffolk. Its clever construction means that it is constructed from one piece of rope. A useful brush for kitchen worktops etc.

I love this store: Labour and Wait in London.  They have a great variety of timeless and functional products for daily life. I adore this shop a lot, and I'm sure they're just like us who like to talk about the stories of the products and can appreciate beauty in simple and classic design. 

Things that keep me up at night

This picture makes me SO happy! I totally want to sleep in this bed. It's from Written Afterwards which is a design team that makes me remember that life is for living well, and for laughing.

My greatest day of 2008.

A wonderful gift arrived for me today. I'm so excited about all the future projects I can get to do with my new Canon.  Yay for Canon. Yay for Lark. Thank you so much, Dane and Veronika !!!
